Beloved Japanese Lecturer and Area Chair, Keiko Flores, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Professor Flores taught at Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ for 19 years. She was hired as a lecturer 2005 and was promoted to senior lecturer in 2011. In addition to serving as the Japanese Area Chair, she was the faculty advisor for the Japanese Culture Club at Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ and served on the board of directors for the American Association of Teachers of Japanese.
